Our mission
To create well-built, community-centered residential and commercial projects in Tulum through thoughtful design, quality construction and intentional place-making — places where people can live well, work with purpose, invest confidently and feel connected.
From rentals to developer
Ten years building Tulum.
Habitat began from a practical understanding of the Tulum market. Before forming the company, the founders managed vacation rentals and saw first-hand the need for better-built, better-designed homes. With land already acquired in Tumben Kaa, they founded Habitat Construcción to develop a residential community — starting with just 14 homes in what would become Florafauna.
As demand grew, Habitat expanded Florafauna and launched Fabula — more attainable townhomes near downtown. With that evolution, the company grew from Habitat Construcción into Habitat Developments — focusing on its own developments and, today, on finished turnkey homes, alongside local-serving commercial spaces like Cinco Beach Club, Taquería Cinco and El Jardín Café.

Beyond building homes, we create places that contribute to our community. Our designs and processes are highly localized, with thoughtful attention to the surroundings of each home.

We create hundreds of dignified local jobs, include families and tradespeople from surrounding towns, donated and preserve a public green park, and support local students with scholarships and internships.
